HorseTourneys Qualifiers in the Money at the NHC
Here’s a look at HorseTourneys qualifiers who finished in the top 66 at last weekend’s National Handicapping Championship.
It’s a “Super” Weekend with Saturday’s $25,000 Tourney and Sunday’s Qualifier for The BIG One
It appears to be a down weekend coming up in the NFL with only one game scheduled. So we thought we’d try to fill the void with several exciting tournaments where you can win cash, a seat to the coveted The BIG One and more.
Some Thoughts About the Recently Concluded NHC
I can’t say enough about Ray Arsenault’s performance. (His $407.70 final total was an NHC record.) When the final table participants were determined, the standings were very tight, with one exception—Ray Arsenault had a nice $30 or so lead on his nearest pursuer.
HorseTourneys Again Named Best Contest Site by American Turf Monthly Magazine
We are pleased to report that, in its February 2017 issue, American Turf Monthly magazine named HorseTourneys the winner of its annual “Best Online Tournament Site” award — one of several honors bestowed in its latest Conny Awards, which are dedicated to “Recognizing the best in handicapping tournaments in 2016.”
Broth, Behr, Others Parlay Modest Scores Into Big Returns (Weekend Recap, January 21-22)
It doesn’t always take great scores to put you at the top of the class.
Qualifier for The BIG One, $15,000 Game, Last Chance at the Last Chance Highlight Inauguration Weekend
Whenever you hear “Hail to the Chief” this weekend, just think “HorseTourneys”. Because when it comes to fun and big-money contests and qualifiers, we like to think we are the Chief Executive. It should come as no surprise that we’ll be in action all weekend long. Bigly. We are suspending our belief in separation of church and state this weekend, however. Most of our featured tournaments will be Pick & Prays.
An Inside Look at How Mandatory Races are Selected at the NHC (Part II)
Last week, in part I, I went over what constitutes an ideal NHC mandatory race, as well as some of the other factors we consider as part of the process. I’m surprised it until Part II to get to it…but one gigantic factor in our thinking is weather – both with respect to whether a race might come off the turf and whether a given track might cancel altogether due to a snowstorm.
Cook Does it Again; Reese Does it Twice (Weekend Recap Jan. 13-16)
Saturdays and Sundays are our biggest days in terms of prizes and number of tourneys. But sometimes the most notable occurrences take place during the week. Take Friday, January 13, for example.
$25,000 Tourney, Qualifier for The BIG One, First Chance for Kentucky Derby Betting Challenge Highlight Another Big Weekend
Last weekend’s first chance to qualify for the 2017 The BIG One, won by Joel Wincowski, was a big success, selling out quickly. Sunday is your second chance to advance to what we think is the highest-expectation tourney you’ll find anywhere. So you could say that that is our biggest tourney this weekend. But others might argue for Sunday’s First Chance opportunity to win an all-inclusive seat at the rich Kentucky Derby Betting Challenge. Of course, cash game specialists would laugh and say the weekend’s best game is Saturday’s $25,000 Guaranteed event.
We’ll just lay out the weekend schedule for you now, and let you decide.
