It’s a busy weekend around here with five featured tourneys on Friday, eight on Saturday and 12 on Sunday. No fewer than six of those competitions involve the Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge—now just two weeks away. The featured weekend action commences on Friday.

Thanks to the kind cooperation of our friends at Breeders’ Cup and Keeneland, HorseTourneys is once again proud to present an array of tourneys focusing on the year’s most exciting two days of racing — the Breeders’ Cup on November 6th and 7th.

History has repeated itself in the $8 Pick 6 Jackpot tourney…and not in a way we appreciate.

For the second straight week, the Jackpot seemed destined to fall—only to have the Racing Gods intervene and turn an imminent-seeming victory into a narrow, painful defeat. Two weekends ago, it happened to James Snyder, and this past Saturday, John Esterbrook was the victim.

It seldom takes much prodding to get excited for Breeders’ Cup weekend (Nov. 6-7), and this year it’s one of the few big events that’s actually taking place during its customary spot on the calendar! In case you could still use some extra reasons to get enthused, though, be aware of three big cash tourneys will be hosting to help make a big weekend even bigger.

For every big score that we are fortunate enough to experience as horseplayers, it seems that there are a dozen (conservatively) that just elude our grasp. On the pain scale, James Snyder’s close call on Sunday had to be worth at least two dozen.

Eighteen featured events are on the slate this weekend as we march onward to the Breeders’ Cup (where even more lucrative tourneys await). Whether your focus is money, the NHC, the BCBC, the $150,000 Guaranteed Flo-Cal Faceoff or all of the above, you’ll find plenty this weekend to entertain and engage you. It all starts on Friday.

It wasn’t a Spa & Surf Showdown or Flo-Cal Faceoff weekend around here…but thanks in good measure to the better-late-than-never Preakness Stakes, more than $162,000 still went flying out the door last week—and that was just in our marquee events. The featured tourney fun—and winning—got rolling on Wednesday.

We have $80,000 in Guaranteed cash headed out the door across three featured cash tourneys on Preakness day. If you like stakes races, Saturday just might be your day as all 14-contest races that day will be of the added-money variety. Pimlico and the Preakness serve as the centerpiece of an exciting weekend with 21 featured competitions with plenty of NHC, BCBC, Flo-Cal Faceoff and Keeneland entries up for grabs as well. It’s hard to keep up with the sporting calendar this year (as evidenced by the fact that the Preakness is a week from Saturday). Among all the other “how-can-this-be’s?” is the fact that we’re also already up to the final free NHC qualifier for the 2020 season. It takes place on Saturday, and it’s one of 21 marquee games this weekend.
