Since 2021, HorseTourneys has hosted a three-race series of its top events, the Flo-Cal Faceoff in January, the Players Championship in April and the Spa & Surf Showdown in August. Known as the Tourney Triple, the series awarded bonuses to those who, based on a points formula, performed best throughout the three marquee tourneys.
In 2024, HorseTourneys will add to the series a fourth competition, the Pick & Pray® Classic.

The Pick & Pray Classic will be a two-day tourney, tentatively slated for Saturday and Sunday, November 30-December 1. The resulting four-race series will be known as the HorseTourneys Grand Slam.
Unlike the Live-format Flo-Cal Faceoff and Spa & Surf Showdown and the All Optional Live-format Players Championship, the Pick & Pray Classic will be contested entirely in HorseTourneys’ popular Pick & Pray format, which requires players to enter all of their selections each day prior to the day’s first contest race. The Pick & Pray Classic is expected to include Thanksgiving-weekend races from such tracks as Aqueduct, Del Mar, Gulfstream and Laurel.
Players will receive HorseTourneys Grand Slam points at the conclusion of each leg of the four-race series. The points formula will award 100 points for a first-place finish, 99 points for second, 98 points for third, down to 1 point for a 100th-place finish.
At the conclusion of the 2024 Pick & Pray® Classic, final positions in the HorseTourneys Grand Slam series will be determined based on players’ aggregate points totals.
End-of-series bonuses will be awarded as follows:
1st place: The overall points leader at the end of the HorseTourneys Grand Slam series will receive a complimentary entry to all four HorseTourneys Grand Slam events in 2025.
2nd place: The runner up will receive entries to two (2) HorseTourneys Grand Slam events of his or her choosing in 2025.
3rd place: The third-place finisher will receive an entry to one (1) HorseTourneys Grand Slam event of his or her choosing in 2025.
The 2024 HorseTourneys Grand Slam series will begin with the $250,000 Guaranteed Flo-Cal Faceoff on January 20-21.

The Flo-Cal Faceoff calls on players to make selections in every race on the Gulfstream and Santa Anita cards each day. The Flo-Cal Faceoff carries an entry fee of $1,500, and entries are limited to two per person. Qualifying tourneys will continue to be offered at HorseTourneys through January 19.
In 2023, David Wolff won the Flo-Cal Faceoff and earned $187,425 from a final, all-cash prize pool of $511,410.
The second leg of the HorseTourneys Grand Slam will be the Players Championship on April 6-7, followed by the Spa & Surf Showdown in August (dates TBA) and the Pick & Pray Classic on November 30-December 1.
