As We Enter Final Quarter of 2024, Don’t Forget About HT Tour Bonuses

A few years ago, we introduced the HT Tour. As part of the deal, in addition to mid-year and year-end prizes, we started offering bonuses to anyone who recorded multiple HT Tour victories on specific days of the week.

For example, someone winning a Friday HT Tour cash game for a second time during the course of a calendar year would receive a $500 bonus in addition to his or her regular winnings. A third such triumph was to be recognized with a $1,000 bonus. Any subsequent Friday victories would earn $1,000 bonuses as well. Identical payout schedules were put in place for Saturday and Sunday HT Tour events.

The good news for you, the players — and the bad news for our Accounting Dept. — is that these bonuses have been flying out the door in 2024 like never before. Already this year, we have paid out $500 bonuses 13 times, and we have had to shell out the $1,000 bonus on four occasions.

One thing those of us in the office (with the exception of our CFO) got a kick out of this year is that, for the first time ever, we had to dole out a Monday bonus when Thomas Guthrie captured our Labor Day featured cash tourney…after he had earlier taken our Memorial Day game.

What are the lessons from all of this? I think there are two:

First of all, when Martin Luther King Day rolls around next year, do not mess with Thomas Guthrie.

Second (and our nerdy, penny-pinching accountants do not like me saying this)…

…do not overlook your possible HT Tour bonus opportunities during the remainder of this year.

If you have won at least one HT Tour game at any point during 2024, it means you’re bonus-eligible for all subsequent HT Tour cash tourneys on that day of the week during the rest of the year. There are dozens and dozens of you out there.

If you are pretty sure that you have won an HT Tour event in 2024, but can’t remember on which day of the week it took place, I have two possible solutions:

  1. Prevagen
  2. Email support@horsetourneys.com and we will gladly provide you with that information.

We don’t advertise a lot. We’d rather take that money and give back to our top players where we can, keep takeout low for all players, and then let word-of-mouth do its thing. The HT Tour has become a welcome part of all that.

So good luck during the rest of the 2024 Tour year — and keep raking in those bonuses.
